Pharm.D program is structured into two stages. The initial stage focuses on academic study, spanning a duration of 5 years. The subsequent stage entails an internship and residency training, emphasizing pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy service. To be eligible for this program, candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2 education from any state or national education board. Additionally, they are required to have studied Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, with Mathematics or Biology as additional subjects.
The Doctor of Pharmacy program combines the realms of science and the art of dispensing medicines. Students receive practical training in clinical pharmacy and medical pharmacy. Upon completion of the program, students acquire skills in disease diagnosis, therapeutics, drug usage, treatment selection, and patient monitoring. They also undertake responsibilities such as diagnosing diseases and contributing to patient care.
